Donald J. Reetz, Sr.

Donald J. Reetz, Sr., 86, passed away Monday morning, January 29, 2024, at Aurora Medical Center.
Born April 19, 1937, in Mattoon, WI, Donald was a son of the late Delford and Mary Gauthier Reetz. He attended schools in Phlox, WI. He then went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1958. He was united in marriage to Judith Schram in Sheboygan. On October 29, 1983, he married Christine E. Rowe at Brethren in Christ Church in Sheboygan.
Donald worked at Ametek in Sheboygan for 40 years before his retirement. He was a former member of the Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship. Don was an avid fisherman and loved listening to music.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Christine; his children, Lisa (John) Sackett, Sheboygan, Donald Reetz, Jr, TN, Laura (Dale) Engstrom, Sheboygan, David Reetz, NY, Shannon (Karsten) Westenberger, Sun Prairie, and Elizabeth (Jameson) Patz, AZ; his 12 grandchildren, Ashley, Stephanie, Gabrielle, Heather, Tim, Violet, Abraham, Logan, Hailey, Samantha, Sandra, and William; 13 great grandchildren; his brother-in-law, Keith (Gert) Rowe; two sisters-in-law, Judy (Tom) Krier and Nancy Rowe; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James, Richard and Delford, Jr. and an infant grandson, Blake.
A memorial service for Donald will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 9, 2024, at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue, Sheboygan. The Rev. Cyndy Little will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Inurnment will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens at a later date.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.
The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Donald's arrangements.
