Donald Keitel

Born February 3, 1927 in Sheboygan, Donald was a son of the late Erving and Mildred Eggelston Keitel. He attended Sheboygan area school and then went on to serve his country in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946. On November 30, 1946, he was united in marriage to Cornelia "Connie" N. Huige at the parsonage of Trinity Lutheran Church by the late Rev. F.A. Brauer. They were married for 54 years before Connie preceded him in death on February 11, 2001.
Don was a machinist at the Vollrath Company until his retirement. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and spending time with his wife, Connie.
He is survived by his son, Larry Keitel, Sheboygan; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides his parents and his wife, Connie, Don was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Keitel, and his special friend, Hazel Watson.
Funeral services for Donald will take place on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue. The Rev. Timothy Mech, Pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment will take place at Lutheran Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established in his name for the Trinity Lutheran Church Organ Fund and Sheboygan Area Lutheran High School.
