Donald J. Lindow, 85, of Sheboygan, passed away Sunday evening, March 29, 2015 at Sheboygan Progressive Care Center. Born July 29, 1929 in Plymouth, WI, Donald was a son of the late Harry and Gertrude Rochlas Lindow. He attended area schools and graduated from Central High School in 1946. He then went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army for four years where he took part in an atomic air drop in Yuccata Flats, Nevada in 1951. He was then stationed in Germany for 2 years. On December 14, 1957, he was united in marriage to Jeanne K. Simonich in Sheboygan Falls. Don was an inspector and locator for the Wisconsin Public Service Corporation for 36 years, retiring in 1993. For 18 years following his retirement, Don and Jeanne spent every other winter in South Carolina and Texas. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing and the Green Bay Packers. His greatest joy was spending time with his family up north at the cabin. Don always said his church was the "Cathedral of the Pines." He loved and cherished with great pride, his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne; his children, Cheri (Leonard) Olson, Greer, SC, Linda Sellars, Pound, WI, Diane (Richard) Ulledahl, Sheboygan, and Daniel (Patty) Lindow, Sheboygan; five grandchildren, Lisa (Stan) Matthews, Columbia, SC, Ann Olson, Farmville, VA, Michael (Michelle) Crall, Fort Worth, TX, and Dylan and Samuel Lindow, Sheboygan; and nine great grandchildren. He is further survived by his sister-in-law, Deloris Lindow, Sheboygan; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Duane, and his granddaughter, Amy Ulledahl. According to his wishes, there will be no services or visitation. A memorial fund has been established in his name. The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Donald's arrangements.
