David J. Tershner

David J. Tershner, 61, of Sheboygan, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 19, 2024.
Born October 7, 1963, David was a son of the late James and Harriet Albrecht Tershner. He attended Sheboygan area schools and graduated from Kohler High School in 1982. He then moved to Texas returning to Sheboygan in 1988. In 1991, he met Diane D. Schwartz and on October 21, 1995, he was united in marriage at Bethany Lutheran Church in Kohler.
Dave worked at Kohler Generator for the past 36 years. He enjoyed hunting, camping up north, fishing and having bonfires in the backyard. He was an avid race fan and enjoyed going out to Plymouth to watch the races. He also built models but his greatest joy was spending time with his wife, kids and his grandson, Wyatt.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Diane; his daughter, Brandy (Matthew) Tershner; his son, Cody (Emily) Tershner; his grandson, Wyatt Tershner; his brother, John (Laura) Tershner; his sister, Lori (Joseph) Wychesit; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents, Jim and Harriet, he was preceded in death by his in-laws, Dennis and Donnette Schwartz; and other family members.
Funeral services for David will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 25, 2024, at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue, Sheboygan. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. Inurnment will take place in the Chapel of Eternal Light.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.
