David Sanchez, Sr., 75, of Sheboygan, passed away Monday morning, September 28, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. Born December 29, 1939 in Winterhaven, TX, David was a son of the late Porfirio and Eloisa Sanchez. In 1958, he was united in marriage to Celia Luevano in Crystal City, TX. David worked for the Kohler Company for 15 years before retiring in 1999. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and working on cars. He was an avid collector and loved John Wayne. His greatest joy was the time he spent with his family and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Celia; his sisters and brothers, Armandina Sandoval, Milwaukee, Juan Manuel Sanchez, Hales Corners, Adolfo Sanchez, Sheboygan, Porfirio Sanchez, Milwaukee, Florinda Hernandez, Carrizo Springs, TX, and Francisca Corronado, Milwaukee; his 7 grandchildren, David Lee Flores, San Antonio, TX, Monica, Samantha, Cassandra, Jimmy Amy and Jake Sanchez, all of Sheboygan; and 7 great grandchildren, David Sanchez, Cheyenne Sanchez, Adriana Sanchez, Avana Fry, Jade Miller, Matt Ritz, and Delilah Richter; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sons, David and Jimmy Sanchez. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 2, 2015 at St. Clement Parish, 522 New York Avenue. Rev. Carlos Zapata will celebrate the Mass. Family and friends are welcome at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at the CHURCH on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Interment will take place in Wildwood Cemetery. The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with David's arrangements.
