David E. Blanke

David E. Blanke, 73, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully Friday morning, May 6, 2022 at his home following his battle with cancer.
Born March 4, 1949 in Waukesha, WI, David was a son of the late Elton and Kathleen Shufflebotham Blanke. He attended Sheboygan area schools and attended Sheboygan South High School. On June 3, 1995, he was united in marriage to Caroline R. Klein Lukaszewski in Sheboygan. They were married for seven years before Carol preceded him in death on July 2, 2002.
Dave worked many jobs around the Sheboygan area all of his life. He was confirmed at St. Mark Lutheran Church. He enjoyed cooking, gambling, and trips to the casino. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and Penny's dog and "best buddy" Piper. He will always be remembered for his sharp wit and sense of humor.
He is survived by his girlfriend, Penny Storlie; his children, Armin Lukaszewski, Rachel Behr, and Richie Lukaszewski; his grandchildren, McKayla, Jahda and Ahnika Lukaszewski, Armin, Jr., Amara, Amber and Jasten Lukaszewski, and Jacob Gretz, Cody and Zach Burns, and Christopher; his sisters and brother, Susan (Daniel) Payne, Barbara (Greg) Sheve, Sharon Bone, Karen (Jim) Groeschl, and Jeffrey (Sue) Blanke; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents, Elton and Kathleen, he was preceded in death by his brother, Philip Blanke.
A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for all of their loving care and support.
The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with David's arrangements.
