David A. Holtz, 49, of Sheboygan, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday morning, March 25, 2015 at his home. Born October 27, 1965 in Sheboygan, David was a son of Carolyn Kaiser Holtz Allen and the late Timothy J. Holtz. He attended Sheboygan Christian School and graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1985. David enjoyed fishing, country music and was an avid fan of wrestling. He was attending Calvin Christian Reformed Church. He was also a member of the prayer group at Tamarack House where he lived. His greatest love was the time he spent with his nieces and nephew. He is survived by his mother, Carolyn (Doug) Allen, Leesburg, FL; his brother, Michael (Tammy) Holtz, Sheboygan; his nephew and nieces, Zack, Tori and Olivia, all of Sheboygan, his aunts, JoAnne (Tom) Schmitt, Kiel, and Barbara Veurink, Grand Rapids, MI; his uncle, Howard (Kathie) Kaiser, Leesburg, FL; cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Timothy, his grandparents, Lester and Minnie Holtz and Ray and June Kaiser, and his uncle Howard Veurink. Funeral services for David will take place at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 30, 2015 at St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 623 Ontario Avenue. The Rev. Ric Olson will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the church on Monday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. A memorial fund has been established in his name. The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with David's arrangements.
