Danie L. Sonia, 68, of Sheboygan passed away Sunday morning, April 5, 2015 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. Born December 5, 1946 in Lowell, MA, Danie was a son of the late Harold and Mary Alice Martell Sonia. He graduated from Wilmington High School in Lowell, MA, and continued his education at Lowell Trade School. Then then went on to serve his country in the U.S. Navy from 1965 to 1969 during the Vietnam War. Danie was a master electrician for many years. He loved hot rods, Harley Davidson motor cycles and enjoyed restoring pre WWII cars. He was a former member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and enjoyed woodworking. Most of all, he was known for his sarcasm and wittiness towards life. He always knew how to make others laugh. He is survived by his two children, Jason Sonia and Jodi (Jason) King, both of Sheboygan, and his grandson, Zavin King, Sheboygan. He is further survived by his step daughter, Briana Segrest whom he raised for many years, his best friend, Arthur "Aardvark" Martin, New Hampshire, and close friend, Sue "Shitzue" Ritt, Howards Grove. According to his wishes, there will be no services or visitation. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Hospital and the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for all of their loving care and support. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name for the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Danie's arrangements.
