Dalila Mata-Guerrero, 56, resident of Sheboygan was born to Genaro & Juanita Mata in Crystal City, TX on April 11, 1956.
She passed away July 7, 2021 peacefully surrounded by her husband and children, after a long battle with diabetes and kidney failure. In the end God prevailed and she is healed and reunited with family in Heaven.
Dalila graduated Sheboygan South High School in 1974. She lived in WI, MN, and IA working the fields, as a CNA, and a daycare teacher. Besides enjoying life with her husband, she lived for her grandchildren. She was involved in church and attended many women's events with her daughter. She was a die hard Packer fan.
She is survived by her adoring husband Pat, Sheboygan, WI; her son, Chad (Gloria) Luckow, Abilene, TX, her daughter, Sonia (Mike) Smith, Sheboygan, WI, her son Marcos (Amanda) Alvarez, Sheboygan, WI, stepdaughter, Laura Carreon, Crystal City, TX; her brothers, Genaro (Cindy) Mata, Des Moines, IA, Michael (Heather) Pembroke, NC; her sisters Shantell (Mauricio) Artero, Des Moines, IA, Gena (Juan) Fernandez, Des Moines, IA, Juanita (Fernando) Fernandez, Des Moines, IA, Maricruz Mata, Des Moines, IA, Esperanza Mata, Crookston, MN; her grandchildren, Randy, Jane, Juan Jr, Mariah, Jose Jr, Jason, Juanita, Zuma, Susan, Ruby, Marcos, Sammy, Emiliana, Christian L, Javier, Soledao, Paulina, Chrisitan A, Liana, and was excited to know Ivan Patrocinio, who is coming in December. There is so much extended Mata and Guerrero family in WI, MN, IA, TX, and AZ that will be missing her, numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, Genaro Mata Sr, her brother Javier Mata, and sister Sylvia Mata-Blagg.
Funeral service for Dalila will take place on Monday, July 12, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue. Family and friends are welcome to the visitation starting at 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Pastor Curt Lamansky will be officiating. Interment will take place in Sunrise Memorial gardens.
In lieu of flowers the family has set up a GoFundMe account to help with the costs of services.
