Dale C. Koelpin

Dale C. Koelpin, 76, of Sheboygan, passed away early Friday morning, January 1, 2021 at Sheboygan Health Services.
Born January 15, 1944 in Sheboygan, Dale was a son of the late Clarence and Edith Meyer Koelpin. He attended Sheboygan area schools and graduated from Central High School. He went on to serve his country in the U.S. National Guard during the Vietnam War. On November 26, 1966, he was united in marriage to Kathleen L. Housey in Sheboygan. They were married for 47 years before Kathleen preceded him in death on November 9, 2014.
Dale worked at the Nemshoff Company for many years prior to his retirement. He was a very active member of Ministry of Peace International where he served on the board of directors. He was very interested in history, especially military history. He collected coins and stamps for many years. He also enjoyed assembling model cars and collected old time movies and radio shows. Everyone who had the privilege to know him or meet him, loved him. He definitely left his mark on people. He was always helping others or making people laugh. He will surely be missed by many.
He is survived by his children, Brenda (Marcos Flores) Gardner, Jeff (Gracie Ramos)Koelpin, Gina Koelpin, and Jonathan (Jennifer) Koelpin, all of Sheboygan; seven grandchildren, Bobby (Victoria) Gardner, Jr., Corina Yang, Caylee Yang, Chyra Yang, Dakota Koelpin, Bryten and Milani Rose Koelpin; four great grandchildren, Kayden and MaKayla Gardner, and Elias and Eliza Yang-Bolden; his mother-in-law, Elaine Housey; his sisters-in-law, Karen Koelpin, Marlene (Tom Kammerzelt) Schoen, Debbie (the late Brian) Bunge and Laura (Dave) Nitze; three brothers-in-law, Richard (Shirley), Kenneth (Jeanine) and Donald; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Besides his parents and his wife, Kathleen, he was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Koelpin.
Family and friends are welcome to the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue on Thursday, January 7, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Private family services will take place immediately following. COVID-19 regulations and social distancing will be followed and masks must be worn at all times. Interment will take place in Wildwood Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Sheboygan Health Services, especially Eric and also the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice for all of their loving care and support.
The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Dale's arrangements.
