Clarence M. Heller, 82, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Sheboygan on September 3, 1933 to the late Clarence C. Heller Sr. and Emma Beck Heller. He was a 1951 graduate of Sheboygan Central High School. On August 4, 1973, he married Mary Perry of Sheboygan. They celebrated 42 years of marriage on their anniversary.
Clarence was a well known butcher in Sheboygan at various meat markets but mainly known at Luedtke's meat market and later Brockman's meat market. He enjoyed interacting with customers and considered them "good friends." After his retirement it was this interaction that he missed the most. Some of the things that Clarence enjoyed over the years were taking trips with his wife, Mary, occasional nights out to play bingo, and dinner at their favorite restaurants. Above all, he loved his family which he proudly told others, consisted of 8 children, 19 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. He had an easy way with people and loved a good joke.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; his sons, Mark (Denise) Heller, Two Rivers, Edwin (Nancy) Perry, Sheboygan, James (Lori) Perry, Plymouth, and Morgan (Adrienne) Heller, Lodi; his daughters, Norah (Peter) Kissinger, Sheboygan, Patty McKenzie, Sheboygan, Wendy (Michael) Donlon, Newton, and Bonnie (Paul) Kuhn, Sheboygan; his 19 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; his sisters, Emmy Lou (Patrick) Birkle, Sheboygan, and Diane (Glenn) Brasser, Sheboygan; his brother, Ted Heller, Sheboygan; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Brandon.
Funeral services for Clarence will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at the Chapel of Eternal Light, 6706 Superior Avenue, Kohler. Pastor Bennett Anderson will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the chapel on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Entombment will take place in the Gardens of Peace Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Clarence's name.
The family would like to express a very special "thank you" to the wonderful nurses, Tanya, Brittany, Chealsea, Penny and Chaplin Pat from Heartland Hospice Care for attending Clarence throughout his illness. "There truly are angels among us."
Clarence will be deeply missed but his good humor will live on in our hearts forever.
