Carol S. Sonneman

Born February 20, 1954 in Campbellsport, WI, Carol was a daughter of the late Edward and Ruth Strack Schaeffer. She attended Campbellsport area schools and graduated from Campbellsport High School. In the summer of 1981, she was united in marriage to Carl F. Sonneman in Cedarburg. They were married for 14 years before Carl preceded her in death on August 5, 1995.
Carol was a baker for Johnston's Bakery in Sheboygan for 15 years before she retired. She enjoyed traveling, baking and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her longtime friend, Rick Johanson, Sheboygan; her sons, Wayne (Bridgett Rodgers) Sonneman, Sheboygan, and Jerry Sonneman, Sheboygan; grandchildren, Mia Sonneman, Taya Rodgers, Kesli Sonneman and Caylin Sonneman, all of Sheboygan; her sister, Marcia Widucki, Plymouth; her niece, Jennifer Widucki; other relatives and friends. Besides her parents and husband, Carl, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Jack Widucki.
Funeral services for Carol will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue. The Rev. Lorri Steward will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Inurnment will take place in Wildwood Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for all of their loving care and support.
