Carol Mae Rautmann

Carol Mae Rautmann, 81, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, April 27, 2021 at the Shores of Sheboygan surrounded by her family.
Born February 19, 1940, Carol was the daughter of the late Walter and Evelyn Meyer Burkhardt. She attended Sheboygan area schools and graduated from Central High School in 1959. On September 2, 1961, she was united in marriage to Richard C. Rautmann at Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
She was a member of the 1907 Club with over 42 years of sobriety and dedicated her life to support others to achieve and maintain their own sobriety. She enjoyed dancing, listening to music and spending time with her beautiful dogs. She also was a member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ. Carol was a fun-loving mother, grandmother, and friend, her generosity and kindness will always be remembered.
She is survived by her children, Marshall (Vicki) Rautmann, Sheboygan, and Randy (Shelly) Rautmann, Sheboygan; her four grandchildren, Angela (Dennis) Rivera Rautmann, Sun Prairie, Kaitlyn (Brandon Emmons) Rautmann, Sheboygan, Jacob and William Rautmann, Sheboygan; her two great grandchildren, Chase and Zarah Rivera Rautmann; other relatives and friends
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Burkhardt.
A memorial service for Carol will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Ebenezer UCC, 3215 Saemann Avenue. Family and friends are welcome at the church on Saturday, May 8th from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. COVID 19 guidelines and social distancing will be observed and masks will be required.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Allay Hospice and the caregivers at The Shores of Sheboygan, especially Laura for all their loving care and support. Also, thanks to Roger for the many adventures that they made together over the last four years.
The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Carol's arrangements.
