Carol M. Presutti

March 13, 1931 — October 28, 2015

Carol M. Presutti, 84, of Sheboygan, was called to her eternal home on Wednesday evening, October 28, 2015 at Sunny Ridge Nursing & Rehabilitation Center where she had been residing. Carol was born March 13, 1931 to the late Earl and Kathryn (Olander) Derlein. She graduated from North High School in 1949. She worked at Security National Bank during and after high school graduation. On October 26, 1957 married Clifford Beck at St. Dominic Parish. Carol and Clifford had three sons and were foster parents to many children during their marriage, raising one for thirteen years until Clifford's death. Clifford preceded her in death September 14, 1974. Carol remained connected to Clifford's family for her entire life and was always one of the girls with his sisters. Carol married Roger Presutti June 17, 1978. She loved the family members she gained through this marriage and all of her grand children and great grandchildren. Roger preceded her in death February 22, 2003. Carol worked for the Sheboygan Area School District until retirement at age 62, and then became a foster grandparent. Carol loved being a faithful Foster Grandparent for many years. It was a great chance to spend time with children, many who did not have grandparents of their own. She was loved by all of the children she met and impacted many lives. Carol was a faithful member of SS Cyril & Methodius Catholic Parish. She was treasurer of the Christian Women's Society for ten years. She was also a member of the KSKJ and the American Slovenian organization. Carol enjoyed gardening. She grew mostly tomatoes, green peppers, parsley and garlic in the later years. She made many quarts of tomato juice. From her raspberry patch, she made jam. People said it was liquid gold. In Carol's own words "If only for weekends, she loved going up to the cottage where God and nature combined and made for a relaxing time. She caught many Northern, watched the different birds, and the loons on the lake. Started bowling in Senior year of high school and bowled for over 50 years. Never a perfect game but in the city tournament 1950's won big. Always watched the Packers games when possible on TV. Also liked the Brewers and the Bucks; but most of all liked the polka music on the radio. In younger days went to many dances." She is survived by her son, Thomas Beck, Hawaii; her sisters-in-law, Shirley Robek and Diane Andersen of Sheboygan; Roger's children, William and Marilyn Presutti of Sheboygan, Barbara Cook Presutti of Poynette, and Bette Jo Mikalowsky of Sheboygan; 18 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren; her sister, Marion (Barney) Brentrup, New Hampshire; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Many who loved her like a second mom. Besides her husbands, Clifford and Roger, she was preceded in death by her two sons, Peter and Brian, daughter Kathylyn and by five sisters-in-law and four brothers-in-law, and one son in law. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Carol at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Church, 822 New Jersey Avenue. Pastor Paul Fliss will celebrate the Mass. Family and friends are welcome at the church on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of Mass. Interment will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Greendale Cemetery. The family would like to thank the caring staff of SunnyRidge Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. The staff loved her like a family member and treated her well. Her constant smile and contagious giggle will be missed. The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Carol's arrangements.
