Carol J. Van Haveren, 77, of Sheboygan, passed away Wednesday afternoon, November 4, 2015, at Golden Living Center surrounded by her family. Born November 16, 1937 in Sheboygan, Carol was a daughter of the late John and Clara Panzer Dietz. She attended area schools and graduated from North High School in 1956. On February 18, 1961, she was united in marriage to Eugene E. Van Haveren at St. John's Evangelical Reformed Church. They were married for 48 years before Eugene preceded her in death on March 8, 2009. Carol was a medical secretary for 27 years working for Dr. David Werner. She was a member of Grace United Church of Christ in Kohler. She enjoyed gardening and landscaping, decorating, and entertaining. She loved playing cards and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her two children, Jeff (Elaine) Van Haveren, Sheboygan, and Tracy (Kyle) Kuss, Eau Claire; her grandson, Nick Froh; her brother, Donald (Georgiana) Dietz, Sheboygan; her sister, Loraine (Art) Borsecnik, Neenah; her sister-in-law, Marge Dietz; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her husband. Eugene, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Dietz, and a sister, Helen Sonneman. Funeral services for Carol will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue. The Rev. Thomas Schroeder will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Inurnment will take place in Wildwood Cemetery on Monday, November 16, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. A memorial fund has been established in her name. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Pine Haven Christian Home, Golden Living and Aseracare Hospice for all of their loving care and support.
