Carla R. Lauritsen

Carla R. Lauritsen, 60, of Kiel, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family following a courageous battle with COPD on Saturday, August 29, 2026. She was born October 3, 1965 to the late Mick and Joan (Westerhousen) Fredericks. Carla graduated from Sheboygan South High School with the Class of 1983.

On August 19, 1989 she was united in marriage to Scott D. Lauritsen at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. Together they celebrated 37 years.

Carla worked at Walmart for 25 years retiring in 2020. She was a talented decorator, painter and enjoyed sewing. Her family was her pride and joy. She cherished all the memories she created with her grandchildren.

Carla is survived by her husband Scott of Kiel, son Dylon Lauritsen of Sheboygan, daughter Leah Lauritsen of Kiel, and granddaughters; Avalyn, Dallas, and Braeleigh. She is further survived by her siblings, Kenny (Jana) Michalski, Amy Michalski, Jennifer Michalski, Mischan (Erik) Schlagenhaft, and Eric Fredericks, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and her fur babies Sipsey and Skye.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and fur babies Candy, Butter, Smokey and Cooper.

A Celebration of Carla's Life will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 1:00 PM at 1015 Adams St. Kiel.
