Carl F. Rochlus, 86, formerly of Sheboygan, died Saturday, March 19, 2011, at Badger Prairie Health Center, Verona, WI. Born January 14, 1925, in Kohler, WI, Carl was the son of the late Frank and Audrey Grayson Rochlus. Carl served in the United States Army and was stationed in Japan during World War II. He was very active as a Boy Scout leader in his younger years. After being discharged from the Army, Carl moved to Madison, WI where he worked for the State of Wisconsin in various capacities for 24 years. Carl loved Public Broadcasting and for a couple of years in the 1970's had a program called "The Big Band" with WORT. He is survived by three nieces: Miriam Gerber Weissberg and her family of Redding, California, Ruth Gerber Laak and her family of Kronenwetter, WI and Lois Gerber Baxter and her family of San Jose, CA, one stepnephew: Wayne Gerber and his family of St. Louis, MO and many friends at Badger Prairie Health Care Center Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Audrey, his sister Ione Gerber, his niece Sarah Jean, his brother-in-law The Rev. John Gerber and his nieces husband The Rev. James Laak. Carl donated his body for research at the University of Wisconsin. A Memorial/graveside service will be held at Wildwood Cemetery at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 1, 2013, with Military Honors to follow. The Lippert-Olson Funeral Home is serving the family.
