Brian M. Behr, 41, of Sheboygan, passed away Thursday morning, November 10, 2016 at Sheboygan Progressive Care Center where he had been residing.
Born November 5, 1975 in Sheboygan, Brian was a son of the late Richard and Karen Riviers Behr. He attended area schools and graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School in 1994.
Brian worked in the medical records department of the Aurora Sheboygan Clinic until his retirement due to his weakening health. He previously worked at Pick N Save. He was a member of Journey Church where he enjoyed volunteering for many projects. He loved computers, playing video games and new technology.
He is survived by his maternal grandmother, Joyce Riviers, Sheboygan Falls; his uncle, Daniel (Carla) Riviers, Sheboygan Falls; his cousins, Lisa Mehan, Sheboygan Falls, Mike Behr and Jenny Behr Walker, both of Fond du Lac; other relatives and many friends. He is further survived by his stepmother, Brenda Wittgreve, Elkhart Lake, his stepfather, Ron Roethel, Sheboygan; and two stepbrothers, David and Robert Behr, both of Sheboygan, two step children, Zachary and Cody, Manitowoc, and his best friends, Travis Richter, Sheboygan Falls, and Charles Mott, Manitowoc.
Besides his parents, Richard Behr and Karen Riviers Roethel, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Theodore Riviers; his paternal grandparents, Herman and Carita Behr; his aunt, Wanda Riviers; and his uncles, Ray and Roger Behr.
A Memorial Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue. The Rev. Gregory Whelton will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. Following the service, a gathering to celebrate Brian's life will take place at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place in Saron U.C.C. Cemetery at a later date.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Sheboygan Progressive Care Center and the nurses and staff of the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for all of their loving care and support.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.
