Beatrice E. Mihm

April 26, 1927 — October 2, 2018

Beatrice E. Mihm, age 91, passed away at Pine Haven Christian Communities on Tuesday, October 2, 2018. She was born April 26, 1927, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin to the late Harlow and Susan Pettis (Vanderberg). She attended Mapledale Grade School and Central High School graduating in 1945. On February 12, 1949 she was united in marriage with the late Harvey Mihm in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

She graduated from beauty school and worked at Cains Salon and then at Sheboygan County Hospital where she served the residents as a beautician, aide and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. She then became a bus driver for handicapped children at Heindenrider. Her last 25 years were at Prigge

Bea, as she was known, was a baptized member of St. Luke United Methodist Church in Sheboygan. She assisted with Christ meals, the Book Club, the Food Pantry and was a member of Rachel Circle. She was a long standing member of TOPS. She was a coordinator for Central High School reunions until the fall of 2015. She was an avid bowler as well as an excellent seamstress.

Bea is survived by her son and his wife, Ron and Lynn, Howards Grove, WI; her son Randy, Fairbanks, AK; her daughter and her husband, Lynn (Mihm) and Richard Boenisch, Sheboygan Falls, WI; her daughter, Lori (Mihm) Kunz and her partner, Steve Petit, Fairbanks, AK; 12 grandchildren, Tracy (Mihm) Senkbiel, Hartford, WI, Ryan Mihm, Dillon, CO, Kristi (Mihm) Tillman, Elk City, OK, LeAnne Mihm, Fairbanks, AK, Nicole (Mihm) Carter, Fairbanks, AK, Sam Mihm, Fairbanks, AK, David Boenisch, Sheboygan Falls, WI, Robert Boenisch, Kiel, WI, Matthew Boenisch, Howards Grove, WI, Elizabeth (Boenisch) Theobald, Sheboygan, WI, Marissa Kunz, Fairbanks, AK, Logan Kunz, Fairbanks, AK; 14 great-grandchildren; and one sister, June (Pettis) and husband Anthony Katte. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives with a special mention of Toni Gahagan who spent countless hours with Bea. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey, and sister, Juanita (Pettis) Van Akkeren.

Funeral services for Beatrice will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at St. Luke United Methodist Church in Sheboygan, N. 7th St. & Ontario Ave. The Rev. Kathy Reid will officiate. Visitation will take place from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Memorial funds have been established in her name for the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life.
