Beatrice A. Jerving

Beatrice A. Jerving, 98, of Sheboygan, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.
Born August 16, 1918 in Sheboygan, Beatrice was a daughter of the late Charles and Louise Strassberg Hayner. She attended Sheboygan area schools and graduated from Central High School. On January 11, 1947, she was united in marriage to William M. Jerving at the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer. They were married for 54 years before William preceded her in death on February 11, 2001.
Bea worked at Piggly Wiggly on the south side, retiring after 18 years. She was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church. She enjoyed golfing, reading, playing cards, crocheting and jigsaw puzzles. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and many friends.
She is survived by her children, Dr. Nancy Noel Werden and her husband, Lincoln of Manhasset, NY; and two sons, James R. and his wife, Chris, of Madison, and Michael W. and his wife, Susan, of Sheboygan; five grandchildren, Amanda (Nigel) Hadley, Jessica Jerving, Esq, Sara Werden, Julia Jerving and Sara Jerving; two great grandchildren, Noah Wilhelm and William Hadley; her sister-in-law, Betty Hayner; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her parents and husband, William, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Gilbert and Roy Hayner.
According to her wishes, private family services will be held. Inurnment will take place in Garden Terrace Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Luke United Methodist Church or the Sheboygan Senior Community.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Sheboygan Senior Community for all of their loving care and support.
