Arthur Carr, 98, formerly of 1329 Wilson Ave. Sheboygan, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2012, at the Sheboygan Senior Community where he was a resident. He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Genevieve Mountain Carr. Arthur was a switchman for the Chicago &Northwestern Railroad for over 32 years. He enjoyed woodworking, painting and cooking. Arthur was a member of St. Luke's Methodist Church. He is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann (Howard) Kusler, West Bend, WI, Sharon (Richard) Van Haveren, Sheboygan. Arthur is further survived by four grandchildren: Jane (Lee) Kusler-Jensen, Wild Rose, WI, Lynn (Dan) Shannon, Hartland, WI, Mari Lin Van Haveren (Chris Chappell), Madison, WI, and Rick (Amy) Van Haveren, Alpharetta, GA; twelve great-grand children and nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 22 at 11 a.m. at St Luke United Methodist Church with Rev. Ric Olson and Rev. Kathy Reid as officiates. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the Brooksville Cemetery, Brooksville FL. at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to St. Luke's United Methodist Church. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Curtis Hancock, the staff of the Sheboygan Senior Community, and the Sharon Richardson Hospice for their loving care of Arthur. The Lippert-Olson Funeral Home is serving the family.
