Arno H. Thiel

Arno H. Thiel passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025 at Edenbrook Sheboygan.  Arno was born November 15, 1938, to the late Arno and Lillian (Stange) Thiel.  He married Susan Meyer on February 5, 1972 at St. Paul's UCC.  Arno served in the US Army and then worked at Lakeland Manufacturing until 1989.  Then worked at Aurora Clinic as a custodian.
Arno enjoyed camping, bowling, and siting by the fire with family and friends having a beer.
Mostly Arno enjoyed going to his grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's sporting events and school programs.
Arno is survived by his daughter Debra (Michael) Tryba, his grandchildren; Ashley (Logan) Mueller and  Austin (special friend Mary) Tryba. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren; Keenan and Macey Guillette, and Harlow and Serenity Mueller.  He is also survived by Jenny Van Engen who was his second daughter, his sister-in-law Rachel Schneider and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Susan, son Scott, and siblings; Ronnie (Pat), Jerome (Loretta), Marilyn Writz, Nancy Thiel, mother-in-law Marie Meyer, sister-in-law Nancy (Glen) Heinemann, brother-in-law Arthur Schneider, and nephew Rick Writz.
Arno's family would like to thank Adam and Nicole from Holistic Hospice, nurses on the 2nd floor at Edenbrook, head of nursing Nikki, and nurse manager Amanda for all their love and care.
A Celebration of Arno's Life will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Lakeshore Lanes, 2519 S. Business Dr. Sheboygan.  Military Honors will take place at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Arno's name.
The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Services have been entrusted with Arno's arrangements.
