Annette M. Thimmig

January 29, 1924 — February 4, 2018

Annette M. Thimmig, 94, of Sheboygan, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018 at her home.
Born January 29, 1924 in Sheboygan, Annette was a daughter of the late Charles and Ida Altenbach Metzdorf. She attended Sheboygan area schools and graduated from Central High School. On May 4, 1946, she was united in marriage to Edgar H. Thimmig at Holy Name Catholic Church. They were married for 36 years before Edgar preceded her in death on March 6, 1983.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and playing the card games Skip-Bo and Rummy 500 with her family. She was a member of the Audubon Society and volunteered at Memorial Hospital and the Homespun Post. She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church and the St. Ann's Christian Mothers.
She is survived by her children, Larry Thimmig, Howards Grove, David (Wendy) Thimmig, Elkhart Lake, James Thimmig, Sheboygan, Steven (Linda) Thimmig, Sheboygan Falls, Michael Thimmig, Sheboygan, Daniel (Lynn) Thimmig, Sheboygan, Patrick (Dawn) Thimmig, Sheboygan Falls, and Todd (Connie) Thimmig, Sheboygan; eleven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; her sister, Joan Metscher, Sheboygan; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents and husband, Edgar, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathleen Brunette, her son, Mark Thimmig, and her sister, Doris Metzdorf, and her brother-in-law, Marvin Metscher.
According to her wishes, private family services will be held.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Annette's arrangements.
