Amelia “Nita” McPeak, 62, of Sheboygan, passed away Saturday evening, January 21, 2023 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice surrounded by her family.
Born March 22, 1960 in Chicago, IL, Amelia was a daughter of the late Gene and Hattie White McPeak. She attended schools in Chicago and graduated from Austin High School. She attended Christian Temple Church in Chicago.
Amelia loved to cook and listen to music. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Temeika (Antwan) Hodges and Damonica McPeak, both of Sheboygan; her seven grandchildren, Diamond Wilson, Milton Chalmers, Ezimena Taylor, Nefertia Taylor, Nehemiah Nabors, Antwan Hodges, Jr. and Myheir Palmer; six great grandchildren, Royale & Reksten Wilson, Majesty Lopez , Nyla & Nalani Taylor and Amaya Johnson; her sisters, Rosemary (Curtis) Thorton, Nicole McPeak, Catherine Grant , Sherlynn Bonner and Beth Mcpeak; her brother, Edward Bowman; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Gene McPeak and Carl Bowman.
A Celebration of Life with remembrances will take place at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 3, 2023 at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue, Sheboygan, WI, 53081. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Everyone is invited to continue to celebrate Amelia’s life beginning at 5:00 p.m. at West Coast Cafe located at 1210 Michigan Ave.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for all of their loving care and support.
