Alvina E. Handrow, 95, of Terrace Estates, formerly of 730 Grand Ave., died Saturday, July 13, 2013 Born August 11, 1917 in Sheboygan County, Alvina was the daughter of the late Fred and Ida Gabsch Hinz. On June 19, 1937, she was united in marriage to Raymond Handrow at St. John's Evangelical & Reformed Church. Alvina and Raymond farmed in the Town of Mosel until 1965, when they moved to Sheboygan. The couple was married for 39 years before Raymond preceded her in death on February 11, 1977. Alvina was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ. She enjoyed taking care of her yard and spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughter LouAnn (Fred) Engelhardt, Sheboygan; a son-in-law, Eugene Maeuser, Cleveland, WI; four grandchildren, Lori (William) Roelse, Cleveland,Sandy (Larry) Perronne, Cleveland, Eric (Amber) Engelhardt, Rochester, MN, Brett (Ronda) Engelhardt, Roseville, MN and eleven great-grandchildren,Andrew & Nathan Roelse, Alex, Abbey, Alyssa & Emma Perronne, Ella, Cohen, Elliana, Taylin & Porter Engelhardt. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond; her daughter LaVerne Maeuser, her grandson, Timothy Maeuser and her great-grandson Matthew Roelse Private family services will be held for Alvina the the Olson Funeral Home and Cremation Service with burial in Saxon Cemetery. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice and the staff of Terrace Estates for the loving care they gave Alvina. A memorial fund has been established in her name.
