Allen Thomas Mursau

December 14, 1947 — June 3, 2017

Allen Thomas Mursau went home to be with the Lord on June 3rd, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Milwaukee on December 14, 1947 at Deaconess Hospital.

He grew up on a farm on White Potato Lake with his three brothers & his parents. As a child he learned his lifelong love of building in a 4H Club which led him to build, with the help of his sons, the family home in Sheboygan. He attended Coleman High School and in his senior year he was a state champion wrestler. In high school he met Linda, the love of his life.

He attended UW-Madison & received a degree in Industrial Engineering. Upon graduation he married Linda Charnesky and they established a home in LaCrosse, WI where Ben, Sam and Katie were born. While working in LaCrosse at the Trane Company he attended Uw-LaCrosse where he received an MBA. He also loved attending, coaching and photographing the boys baseball teams in LaCrosse. In 1989 his family moved to Sheboygan where Allen got a engineering job at Kohler Company. He was a man who loved learning and valued education so he continued on and received a CPA license from the State of Wisconsin. He finished out his career at Johnsonville until his retirement in 2010. When he retired he wanted to share his knowledge of accounting and finance by starting his own channel on You Tube. Currently Allen's channel has almost 4.5 million hits. He wrote college level lessons for students to learn from at no cost. His most recent endeavor was creating short animated music videos from mathematical equations. Also in retirement he loved to ride his bike and stop in at McDonald's daily. He also loved to take walks by Lake Michigan to the light house with Linda & then stop at Culver's for the sundae of the day. Allen and Linda also enjoyed many shows at the Stephanie Weill Center and traveled to many festivals and concerts.

Allen is survived by his loving wife Linda, his sons Ben of Sheboygan, Sam (Susie) of Combined Locks and Katie (Brian) Helmer of Plymouth. He has seven wonderful grandchildren: Owen, Cole, Barret, Evelyn, Adriana, Archer and Axel. He is also survived by his brothers Bob (Nancy) Mursau of Freedom, Glen (Mary) Mursau of Crivitz and Jeff (Nancy) Mursau of Crivitz and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Esther and Gust and his mother and father in law, Edith and Gus Charnesky.

A memorial service will be held at the Sheboygan Evangelical Free Church, 1710 N. 15th St., Sheboygan on June 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m with Pastor Aaron Brown officiating. Family and friends will be received from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. A luncheon will follow the service.

The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Allen's arrangements.

Allen's family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center and St. Luke's Medical Center for all of their loving care and support.
