Alice Mae Scheibe

May 8, 1939 — July 4, 2024

Alice Mae Scheibe, 85, of Sheboygan, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at Aurora Medical Center in Sheboygan, surrounded by her family.
Alice was born in Appleton, Wisconsin, to Clarence and Cecilia Hoppe. She was the youngest of four girls. She married her high school sweetheart, Wes, on August 8, 1959, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Alice worked various jobs while Wes finished schooling to become an anesthetist. They settled after a time in Sheboygan with their three children and always a beloved dog or two. Life with kids was an active one with camping, hiking, biking, skiing, and trips to the Colorado mountains. Later, as the kids left home, they enjoyed many cruises and adventures including rafting the Grand Canyon.
Alice lost Wes to cancer in 2001. She found happiness again with Mike Patrie, sharing 19 years together, filled with travel, adventures, and much laughter.
Alice brought the family together. As family spread across the U.S., she planned biyearly vacations together. Always wonderful locations, and an opportunity for the cousins and all of us to enjoy time together. We are so grateful for these memories.
Our mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend will be remembered for her smile, love of travel, readiness for adventure, her sweet tooth, quick wit, organization, and strong will. She will be greatly missed by family and friends near and far. As she would say, “Bye for now.”
Private family services will be held. If you wish to pay your respects to Alice, you may do so at The Chapel of Eternal Light at Greenlawn Memorial Park where she will be entombed.
The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Alice's arrangements.
